Why do you partner with Water for People?
Water For People is not the largest water charity, but they are certainly among the most respected, and they embody our shared value of integrity. They’re dedicated to the mission of finding sustainable water solutions for as many people as they can reach. In other words, their goal is not simply to dig a well and call it a day, but rather it’s to implement a system and transfer knowledge that will last for generations to come.Krister Asplund, Master Distiller Click to Tweet
Why is water so important for Elyx?
Water is part of our DNA. Literally, Elyx is made from over 50% pure well water, which is in and of itself a luxury for millions of people around the world. And as a brand built on hospitality and integrity, we’re aiming to not only fill our own glasses, but also to help fill the glasses of those in need with the most important drink in the world: water.
That’s why we partnered with Water For People; so that every sale — whether a bottle of Absolut Elyx Vodka or a product from the Elyx Boutique — can help contribute to the goal of bringing clean water to individuals across the globe.Krister Asplund, Master Distiller Click to Tweet
Why is Absolut Elyx partnering with a charity?
Culture is changing. Where there used to be an emphasis on material things and excess, now it’s about being real, having integrity, and showing that you care. We simply try to embody that sort of character in our everyday work, which is why philanthropy isn’t merely a hobby or a publicity stunt, but is actually part of our ongoing business model.Krister Asplund, Master Distiller Click to Tweet

There are so many vodkas on the market…why launch another one?
Our goal with Elyx is to create the world’s first true luxury vodka by capturing and refining the very best of the distinctive heritage of Absolut Vodka.
In the same way Absolut Vodka disrupted the vodka market in 1979, we feel that Elyx — from the way it’s made to its distinctive packaging — firmly stands out from the crowd and is a highly differentiated offering.
The vodka market has expanded since we launched Absolut nearly 40 years ago, and as a entrepreneurial company we believe in innovation. Right now, innovation means Absolut Elyx.
Absolut Elyx is a product of real substance and integrity, handcrafted and copper-distilled for a natural, pure taste.
Is there anything special about the water used to produce Absolut Elyx?
Water quality is absolutely essential in vodka production, and one of the reasons for the exceptional quality of Absolut Vodka is that our distillery rests on its own natural aquifer. This supplies us with the pure, pristine water that is found in each bottle of Elyx. Naturally filtered through the boulder-ridge and limestone bedrock for thousands of years, this pristine water is untouched by modern day pollution. It is exceptionally pure, low on minerals, and has a delicate character.

What efforts are you making from an environmental standpoint?
We take sustainability, traceability, and environmental impact very seriously by working to reduce all of the following: overall energy consumption, the geological impact of our wheat farming, and emissions from both transformation and water consumption.
