Water for People

It’s not enough to just be made with integrity, we have to act with integrity as well.

WATER FOR PEOPLE: OUR 5 YEAR MISSION TO BRING CLEAN WATER TO PEOPLE WORLDWIDE

THROUGH YOUR CONTRIBUTION, ELYX AND WATER FOR PEOPLE PROVIDED ONE YEAR OF SAFE WATER TO 43,250 PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD.

With an estimated 1.8 billion people without access to safe running water, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has identified water crises as one of the most pressing global challenges. Elyx believes it’s important for everyone to be socially conscious and responsible for the world we live in today. Simple things we take for granted like safe running water are a scarcity in many parts of the world. Elyx is made from over 50% water, so we partnered with one of the most respected water organizations in the world to ensure we don’t just fill our own glasses, but help fill the glasses of those in need with the most important drink in the world.

From June 2015–June 2020, Absolut Elyx partnered with the non-profit organization, Water for People, in their mission to provide sustainable water solutions where they are needed most. We committed to making positive social impact the rule rather than the exception.

Through this partnership, we provided access to safe water for someone in need for every bottle of Elyx sold in the United States. We also contributed through the Elyx Boutique, our exclusive on-line store with its unique collection of copper barware, copper cocktail cups and eclectic lifestyle goods.

Additionally, every year from World Water Day (March 22) through Earth Day (April 22), we hosted our social campaign, “Raise It Forward.” We asked people to post photos of themselves raising a glass for change. For every post tagging #RaiseItForward, we donated one week’s supply of water to someone in need.

At the conclusion of our partnership and thanks to your support, 43,250 people had access to safe water who didn’t before.
